With stunning panoramic views over the San Fernando Valley near Mulholland Drive, our clients’ existing 1960s-era ranch house sits atop a flat pad. They purchased an adjacent lot and requested that we add a bedroom and entertainment wing to the house and provide space for a full-size tennis court, without disturbing the existing residence.

We designed a solution involving a two-story linear plan with a perpendicularly oriented lounge area open to the views. The addition closely matches the massing and style from the street, while the more modern and open rear of the addition addresses the views and knits together the pool terrace and backyard.
